JUN Pille Pettai, the head of GAP’s construction and real estate law team, participated as an expert at an international roundtable of real estate law, where 8 experts around the world evaluated the current state and future of this sector. Among other, the topical matters related to refinancing and construction contracts were discussed.

04. JUN GAP supports Team University of Tartu, which recently achieved record high result in one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the world - the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The team was ranked 89th out of 290 (previous best result was 149th). We congratulate the members and tutors of the team!

29. MAY GAP partners Mariana Hagström and Paul Keres and attorneys Pille Pettai and Reesa Paatsi attended AIJA’s half-year conference that took place on May 22-25, 2013 in Helsinki. Main topics of the conference were “Powers of Arbitrators” and “How to play and win employment disputes”. There were more than 250 participants from more than 30 countries.

21. MAY Glikman Alvin & Partnerid (GAP) advised one of the largest home and household goods selling enterprise Koduekstra OÜ in acquiring the store chain from Novalux AS. All 9 stores of Novalux were transferred to Koduekstra as of 1st of May. The enterprise continues its activities under trademarks of Koduekstra and Novalux with 29 stores all together.

22. APR Glikman Alvin & Partnerid advised AS Viru Keemia Grupp (VKG) on its investment to a new lime factory. The new factory is being constructed in the production territory of VKG Energia and is intended to be finished by the end of this year.
