History

Baltic Legal Solutions Lithuania (BLS Lithuania) is one of the leading business law firms in Lithuania and the Baltics rendering innovative solutions both in public and private law ensuring legal security of its clients as well as active support for business development.

The origins of the Professional Law Partnership date back to 1999 with the establishment of the law firm “Jurevičius & Partners”. Over the years, the law firm has been rapidly developing, expanding and changing. In mid 2010, following the merger with a law firm “Kazlauskas & Degesys Solvings", Professional Law Partnership “Jurevičius, Bartkus & Partners” changed its name to “Baltic Legal Solutions Lithuania”.

Our legal team includes some of the finest legal practitioners in Lithuania with experience gained in audit and consulting firms, leading Lithuanian and foreign law firms, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania, the Supreme Court of Lithuania, other state or municipal institutions. The lawyers of BLS Lithuania have also broad international experience with the European Commission bodies, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Council of Europe.

Expertise of our lawyers is often sought for in drafting new laws and providing expertise for state institutions. We are especially proud to have participated in drafting the new Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania, which is the core of our business law, and other Acts such as the Advocacy Law, the Company Law as well as Energy Law, Law on Copyright and Related Rights along with Intellectual Property Law.

The combined international knowledge and experience enable the Professional Law Partnership to provide our clients with advice individually tailored to meet their needs and help developing business strategies enabling competitive advantage. In order to be the best legal expert of each business area, we pay particular attention to innovations and actively contribute to the development of business regulatory environment.

Currently, the Professional Law Partnership includes 10 partners and over 50 lawyers.

In April 2010, the prestigious assessment and certification organisation in London “Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance” (LRQA) granted the Professional Law Partnership the quality certification ISO 9001:2008 proving that the Partnership had implemented the quality management systems in compliance with international standards.

Together with Kronbergs & Čukste in Latvia and Glikman & Partnerid in Estonia, the Professional Law Partnership is a founding member of Baltic Legal Solutions (BLS): the Pan-Baltic Association having one of the largest lawyers' presence providing integrated legal services across the Baltic region.
